ReplyDeleteNabu, I tried to think of it but couldn't come up with the name. So, decided to do a little research on the subject. The proper name is apparently "Birendra Phool" or "Chankhooncha Flower" in Newari, but popularly known as "Sirish ko Phool". I have to point out that some experts do disagree on "Sirish ko Phool".
ReplyDeleteRai dai, this should not be "Shirish ko phul". Sisishko phul is called "Blue Mimosa" in English. Actully the english trasnlation of "Shirsihko ful" book of Paarijat was called "Blue Mimosa". It is the course curriculum in some university of abroad.
