सूर्य

( After Durga published "A leaf from my memory", I also got encouraged to publish something of my school days. This poem was written by me in Class 4 and I had won the poem competion for junior section organized on Bhanubhakta Jayanti in Gandaki Boarding School. This poem is so deep in my heart that I had no trouble of recalling it at all)

बिहान पख झुल्कियो सूर्य
हिमाली काखमा
उज्यालो भयो जताततै
डांडा पाखामा

घरका सबै जहान उठे
उनैको तापले
कुखुरा भाले कराउन थाल्यो
उनैको प्रकाशले

हे सूर्य तिमी कती दयालु
उज्यालो दिएको
त्यही भएर तिम्रो पूजा
दिन रात गरेको
